Two weeks after his Mahavishnu Orchestra bandmate Billy Cobham played the New Morning, John McLaughlin is bringing his 4th Dimension band to the same venue.
Seeing John McLaughlin in such an intimate venue is quite a privilege. As is customary at the New Morning, he played two sets, totalling over two hours of dazzling jazz and fusion guitar. Lots of Mahavishnu tracks and some more recent songs as well. His band, featuring the always impressive Étienne MBappé on bass, was absolutely excellent of course.
A sensational evening in the presence of an exceptional musician.
