Is there a more thankless task than opening for the Rolling Stones? It doesn't matter how good you are (and these guys are pretty good) you're always going to be just a nuisance delaying the arrival of the legends.
Despite all the singer's efforts to fill the stage and despite a bunch of great songs (Cold, Cold, Cold is killer garage rock) you just can't win. It probably didn't help that the median age of the crowd was somewhere near the three digits...
