Cannibal Corpse collaboration with Richard Marx to finally see the light of day in June

And here we thought that the collaboration between Ed Sheeran and Cradle Of Filth was the weirdest, ungodliest musical pairing ever to hit our eardrums...

Death Metal veterans Cannibal Corpse have shared a thirty-second snippet of the song they wrote and recorded with 80's superstar songwriter and follicular deity Richard Marx. The whole thing started as a joke last year when Cannibal Corpse bassist Alex Webster was asked by a Metal fanzine who he would like to form a side project with and he drunkenly replied: "that dude who sang that song about being right here waiting for you". As it turns out, Richard Marx' son Lucas is a big fan of the band, and the rest is history!

The song, titled "I Love You So Much I Could Rape You To Death", is obviously tongue in cheek but is also a great mix of classic songwriting and powerful riffing. It will be released as a single on June 18th. All proceeds will go to The Richard Marx Foundation For The Preservation Of The Mullet.

You can listen to a 30-second preview of the song at the link below.
