Bring Me The Horizon @ Accor Arena, Paris - June 6th, 2023

The band from Sheffield has been building up quite a fan base over the last fifteen years, but when they announced last year that they had booked the Accor Arena, many (including yours truly) believed they may have been seeing a little big. Well, joke's on us because the venue was absolutely jam packed. Not only that, but their show is so massive that it needs to be presented in a big venue.

The stage is is divided in three levels, with the upper tier being the realm of the drummer and the keyboardist. The guitarists and bass player can be seen either on the ground floor or on the middle platform. Frontman Olly Sykes, the madman that he is, zips up and down every level, occupying not only the entire stage but also, at various points during the show, the pits and rafters as well.

But as spectacular, as breathtaking as the show is, it is dwarfed by the absolute madness in the audience. Whether it's the slam dancing, the moshing and the circle pits or the people singing along to every word, the crowd's fervor was a sight to behold. Being slightly older (ahem), maybe I can be forgiven for not realizing how huge BMTH is, and how rabid their fan base is.

It's crazy to think that this band is already nearly twenty years old but with tour cycle and this particular performance, they are cementing their status as one of today's biggest Metal bands and their future as a classic band for the millennial generation.
