One day after the 8th anniversary of their so-called farewell show, Black Sabbath has shocked the rock world by announcing a reunion of its original lineup—yes, Bill Ward is back! The band is reuniting to celebrate Ozzy Osbourne’s final concert on July 5th in Birmingham, echoing Ozzy's 1992 "farewell" that was immortalized on Live & Loud. But with their advancing age and Ozzy’s well-known health struggles, this time it really is likely to be the last ride.
But the Sabbath reunion is just one part of this monumental event. Metallica, Slayer, and Pantera will serve as the main support acts for this historic gig. The lineup doesn’t stop there—Anthrax, Alice in Chains, Gojira, Halestorm, Lamb of God, Mastodon, Jake E. Lee, Rudy Sarzo, Sammy Hagar, Duff McKagan, Slash, Tobias Forge (Ghost), KK Downing (ex-Judas Priest), Billy Corgan (The Smashing Pumpkins), Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine), Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit), Jonathan Davis (Korn), and Wolfgang Van Halen will also take the stage at what promises to be the greatest heavy metal show ever presented.
Tickets for Black Sabbath's "Back to the Beginning" concert will be available for purchase starting Friday, February 14, 2025, at 10 a.m. GMT. You can buy them through Ticketmaster UK and Live Nation UK.
An artist presale is scheduled to begin on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, at 10 a.m. GMT.
