Catching up with Suffocation

Members of Suffocation caught up with Electric Eye in Paris to talk about life on the road, the roots of brutal death metal, and how perspective changes after decades in the genre.

 

Brutal Death Metal pioneers Suffocation returned to Paris on March 7th to lay waste to a small club on the edge of town called Glazart , conveniently located next to a soup kitchen. It had been eight months since our last chat and a quick catch up was in order. What follows is an informative, even educational, conversation about life on the road, the roots of Brutal Death Metal, and the surprising similarities between headbanging and cunnilingus.
