I caught the tail end of Bones—the American horrorcore rapper—and his TeamSESH collective as they closed their set on the Loserville tour. I know next to nothing about that scene, but from where I stood, it seemed... decent enough. The stage was drenched in smoke bombs and dry ice, with a glowing skull pulsing ominously in the background—aesthetic on point. Once they wrapped, the evening’s MC, Jon Carnage, emerged to antagonize the crowd with a barrage of sophomoric, unfunny banter. The joke wore thin before it even started, but the audience played along, flipping him off and hurling insults and plastic beer cups on cue, much to his delight. It was like a low-budget WWE pre-show, minus the charm. The overpriced beer didn’t make the segment any more digestible—but it did help numb me for the incoming shitshow, which you can read all about HERE.
